Ord 026-2003 4/1/2003ORDINANCE NO. c�9G -c 0--3 ORDINANCE REZONING 15 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE M. CARBAJAL SURVEY, A -44, WICHITA FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS, AND AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended General Commercial zoning for 15 acres of land out of the M. Carbajal Survey, A -44, Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, and also recommended amending the Land Use Plan an element of the Comprehensive Plan, so that the plan is in conformance with this change; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, deems that the proposed rezoning and amendment to the Comprehensive Plan, will be in the public interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The Land Use Plan, an element of the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Wichita Falls, is hereby amended for 15 acres of land out of the M. Carbajal Survey, A -44, Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas said tract is shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "A" and further described in Attachment "B." Said property land use designation shall be changed from Low - Density Residential to Commercial. SECTION 2. The property described in Section 1 of this ordinance and as shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment "A" and further described in Attachment "B," is hereby rezoned to General Commercial. SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 1st day of April 2003.
