Ord 1841 9/14/1959ORD I NANCE NO l � AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN LANDS SOUTHEAST, NORTH, AND WEST OF THE PRESENT TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, ALL OF WHICH ARE DESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE; FIRST TRACT: Southeast area; SECOND TRACT: North area; THIRD TRACT: West area. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the following tracts of land located in Wichita County, Texas, be and the same are hereby ordered to be annexed and to be included within the corporate limits of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and that the corporate limits be extended so as to include said tracts of land in Wichita County, Texas, the same being more particularly described as follows: FIRST TRACT: Southeast area BEGINNING at the intersection of the present City Limit line in Southeast bank of Holliday Creek with the East line of U. S. Highway 281; THENCE South and Southwesterly along the East line of U. S. Highway 281 to the East line of the County Farm Road, being the West line of Vista Heights Addition; THENCE South along the West line of the County Farm Road, following the West line of Vista Heights Addition to Thir- tieth Street, and continuing South along the West line of the County Farm Road, being also the East line of the Hillcrest Add- ition to a point in the present City Limit line in the South line of Thirty- eicahth Street; THENCE following the present City Limit line along the following courses; THEME West along the South line of Thirty- eighth Street to the West line of U. S. Highway 281; THENCE North to the North line of Hampstead Lane; THENCE West along the North line Hampstead Lane to the East line of Subdivision 9 of the J. 11. Scott Survey No. 9; THENCE North to the northeast corner of said Subdivi- sion 9; THE2EE East to the Northeast corner of Subdivision 8, J. A. Scott Survey No. 9; THENCE North to a point 200 feet Southeast of the Irri- gation Ditch, or waterworks supply canal (measured at right angles to said ditch); THENCE in a Northeasterly direction, parallel with said main Irrigation Ditch and 200 feet Southeast therefrom to the West line of Block 1, Sayles Subdivision of J. A. Scott Survey No. 9.; THENCE South 376 feet with West line of Block 1, Sayles Subdivision to J. A. Scott Survey No. 9. THENCE East 656.2 feet to West line of R. B. Havener 17 acre tract out of said Block 1, Sayles Subdivision. THENCE North 477.3 feet with West line of said Havener 17 acre tract to a point 200 feet Southeast from main Irrigation Ditch, or Waterworks Supply Canal (measured at right angles to said ditch); THENCE in a Northeasterly direction parallel with said main Irrigation Ditch and 200 feet Southeast therefrom to the South line of the Northwest one - fourth of J. '�. Scott Survey No.10; THENCE East with the North line of Subdivisions 8, 7 and 6, of said J. % Scott survey No. 10 to the first crossing of Holliday Creek on the North line of said Subdivision No. 6; THENCE down Holliday Creek following the Southeast bank thereof to the East line of U. S. Highway 281 and the place of beginning and containing 558 acres more or less. SECOND TRACT: North area BEGINNING at a point of intersection of the Present City Limits line and the East R. 0. W. line of U. S. 287 Express- way, said point being 905.7 feet N 150 441 W of the Iowa Park Highway North R. 0. W. line; THENCE in a Northwesterly direction along the said Easterly R. 0. W. line of U. S. 287 Expressway, a distance of 4882 feet; THENCE in a Northeasterly direction along the said R. 0. W. line, a distance of 2914 feet; THENCE N 560 161 W, along the centerline of Tank Farm Road Underpass, a distance of 375 feet; THENCE in a Southwesterly direction along the Northerly R. 0. W. line of U. S. 287 Expressway, a distance of 2116 feet; THENCE in a Northwesterly direction along the Easterly R. 0. W. of U. S. 277 Expressway, 1982 feet to the centerline of Tank Farm Road; 'THENCE the City Limit line shall be 150 feet from and concentric with the centerline of proposed U. S. 277 Expressway and shall be the Easterly R. 0. W. line of said Expressway, the centerline of said Expressway is more particularly described as follows; BEGINNING at the point of Intersection of U. S. High- way 277 Expressway and Tank Farm Road, said point being 220 feet West of the Easterly R. 0. W. line of said Expressway; THENCE N 220-43t W along the centerline of said U. S. Highway 277 Expressway, a distance of 2358.44 feet to the begin- ning of a curve to the right, the radius of which is 5729.58 feet; THENCE in a Northwesterly direction, along the arc of said curve, also being along the centerline of said Expressway, a distance of 1600.00 feet to the end of said curve; THENCE N 060 431 W along the centerline of said Express- way, a distance of 2800.18 feet to the beginning of a spiral curve to the left; THENCE in a Northwesterly direction along the arc of said spiral, also being along the centerline of said Expressway, a distance of 200.00 feet to the end of said spiral and the begin- ning of a curve to the left, the radius of which is 3819.72 feet; THENCE continuing in a Northwesterly direction along the arc of said curve, also being along the centerline of said Expressway, a distance of 1291.5 feet to the end of the descrip- tion of this portion of the centerline of said Expressway, said place of ending being on the North property line of the L. M. Puckett, Est. at Engineers Survey Sta. 569X33.50. THEME East to the East line of the A. R. Collins Survey, a 414; TFENCE South 103 feet more or less to the Southwest cor- ner of the Lcwis Wells Survey, f\ 323; THENCE East with the South line of the Lewis Wells Sur- vey to a point in the present City Limit line, said point being in the West R. 0. W. line of U. S. Highway 281, also known as the Burkburnett Road; THENCE following the present City Limit line in a South- easterly direction along the West right-of-way line of said Burk - burnett Road (U.S. Highway 281 ) to the North line of the SLB Jasper Survey; THENCE continuing along the present City Limit line as follows: South 30 feet; THENCE West to the East line of the MKT railway right- of-way; THENCE North 170 151 West 31 feet to the North line of the E. Scurrey Survey, A - 481; THENCE West with the North line of said E. Scurrey Sur- vey to a point 2298 feet West from the Northeast corner of same; THENCE South to a point on South line of D. Leona Sur- vey, A 176; THENCE West with the North line of John 1^ Scott Survey No. 17 to Northwest corner of a 20 acre tract once owned by New Tex Refining Company; THENCE South to the East right -of -way line of U. SECTION 2. In conformity with Sect ion 3 -, of the Amen- ded Charter of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, this ordinance is on the 14th day of September, 1959, introduced and the City Clerk is directed to publish said ordinance one time in a news- paper'of general circulation published in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, and seven days thereafter this ordinance may be finally acted upon. This ordinance having been introduced on the 14th day of September, 1959, and having been published in-a newspaper of, general circulation in the City of Wichita Fallc, Texas, to wit, the Wichita Falls Record News, one time, to wit, on the day of ; A.
