Ord 2308 3/2/1967r ORDINANCE NO. 2308 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPH C (1) OF SECTION 9 OF ORDINANCE NO. 2118 ENTITLED THE SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, PROVIDING FOR THE WIDTH AND PAVING OF ALLEYS WITH A PAVED SURFACE OF NOT LESS THAN TWELVE (12) FEET IN WIDTH, TO BE AMENDED TO READ ALLEYS TO BE PAVED WITH A PAVED CONCRETE SURFACE OF NOT LESS THAN NINE (9) FEET IN WIDTH, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. Paragraph C (1) of Section 9 of Ordinance No. 2118 entitled the Subdivision Regulations of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: "C. Alleys. (1) Width and paving. Alleys of not less than 25 feet in right-of-way width and 20 feet in pavement width shall be installed by the subdivider in all business and industrial areas. In residential areas, alleys not less than twenty (20) feet in right-of-way width, with a paved concrete surface of not less than five (5) inches in thickness and a width of not less than nine (9) feet constructed over two (2) inches of compacted river sand shall be installed by the subdivider in accordance with City Standards. Alleys shall be approximately parallel to the frontage of the street." SECTION 2. The fact that the paving of said alleys are being delayed pending the taking effect of this Ordinance, and that the conditions of such alleys endanger public health and safety, constitutes and creates an urgent public necessity, requiring that this Ordinance be passed as an emergency measure, and this Ordinance is passed as an emergency measure and shall be in force and effect immediately from and after its passage.
