ORDINANCE WAIVING CERTAIN REQUIREMENTS OF
SECTION 22-1, PARAGRAPH (a) OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES, AND ORDINANCE NO. 3363 FOR
FIRST GERMAN AIR FORCE TRAINING SQUADRON
IN DOWNTOWN PARK ON MAY 10, 1980.
WHEREAS, the members of the First German Air Force
Training Squadron USA have been invited to participate
in the celebration of "National Week of Music" ; and,
WHEREAS, such squadron desires to furnish a
"German Biergarten" in Downtown Park, at which people can
enjoy German food, beer, music and group dancing on Saturday,
May 10, 1980, from 7:30 o'clock p.m. to 12 : 00 o' clock
midnight; and
WHEREAS, the proceeds from the sale of food and beer
will pay for the band and entertainment, and will be
contributed to the German Air Force sponsored charity
projects in this community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Notwithstanding the provisions contained in Section 22-1,
Paragraph (a) , and Ordinance No. 3363, it shall be lawful
for the First German Air Force Training Squadron USA to
furnish the proposed "German Biergarten" , and for such
squadron, or their concessionaire, to obtain a Temporary
License under the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Code, which
shall authorize the holder thereof to sale beer only for
consumption on the premises constituting Downtown Park,
in or from any lawful container to the ultimate consumer,
which Temporary License shall be good only during the period
from 7: 30 o'clock p.m. to 12: 00 o' clock midnight, Saturday,
May 10, 1980.
