Ord 20-85 2/19/1985 ORDINANCE NO. 20-85 ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 16-18 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES; ESTABLISH- ING FEES TO BE CHARGED BY WICHITA FALLS-WICHITA COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH DISTRICT FOR PERMITS FOR FOOD ESTABLISHMENTS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. Section 16-18 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 16-18. Compliance with article required; posting; term; fee. Only persons who comply with the requirements of this article shall be entitled to receive and retain a permit required by this division. Such permit shall be posted in a conspicuous place. All permits issued hereunder remain in force one year from the date of issuance unless revoked or tY suspended for non-compliance. The permit fee shall be paid annually in advance to the chief accounting officer. Permits to operate mobile food service units shall expire December 31 of each year. All other permits issued hereunder remain in force one year from the date of issuance unless revoked or suspended for non- compliance. The permit fee shall be paid annually in advance to the chief accounting officer. SECTION 2. The following permit fees shall be charged by the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District for all food establishments situated in Wichita County which are inspected by such health unit: A. Eating and drinking establishments (such as restaurants, bars, taverns, lunch counters, variety stores and caterers) With 1 through 9 employees $ 90.00 With 10 through 19 employees 110.00 With 20 or more employees 120.00 An additional fee of $35.00 is charged if the establishment sells soft serve ice cream products to the public. B. Food establishments other than eating and drinking establishments (such as grocery stores, soft drink bottling plants, grocery and food 7 warehouses) With total size not exceeding 1000 square feet $ 70.00 With total size of 1001 through 2500 square feet 80.00 With total size of 2501 through 5000 square feet 90.00 With total size of 5001 through 10,000 square feet 100.00 With total size exceeding 10,000 square feet 110.00 C. For all establishments under "B" above in which food products are prepared for consumption (including bakeries, markets, restaurants and the like) , the fee shall be increased by $30.00 for each additional such activity. For example, if the establishment has a bakery, market and restaurant, the additional fee would be $90.00.
