Ord 145-85 12/3/1985 ORDINANCE NO. 145-85 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING A TAX FREEZE FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION FOR A DOCTOR'S OFFICE AT 1411 9TH STREET, WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS WHEREAS, Ordinance 28-84 provides a tax freeze for ad valorem taxes for substantial rehabilitation of historic landmarks; and, WHEREAS, the doctor's office at 1411 9th Street has been designated as a local landmark; and, WHEREAS, the City Council deems that the structure is in need of tax relief to encourage its preservation; and, WHEREAS, substantial rehabilitation is being proposed, the plans for which have been approved by the Landmark Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The doctor's office located at 1411 9th Street, (Tax Account No. 0030-523) is hereby granted a tax freeze at the value shown on the 1985 tax rolls, for a period of 8 years, beginning on the first day of the first tax year, following verification by the Landmark Commission of the completed rehabilitation work.
