RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 3 /-TON CREW
CAB PICKUP TRUCK THROUGH THE HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA
COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS COOPERATIVE PURCHASING
PROGRAM FROM PHILPOTT MOTORS, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$30,993.42; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, local governments are authorized by Chapter 791, et seq., The
Interlocal Cooperation Act of the Government Code, to agree with other local
governments to form purchasing cooperatives; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase a 3 /-ton crew cab pickup truck,
and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to purchase through the H-GAC
Purchasing Cooperative,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to purchase one 3 /4-ton crew cab pickup
from Philpott Motors in the amount of $30,993.42.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
