RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENTS TO THE 4B BOARD 2006-
2007 BUDGET FOR THE PURCHASE OF A CURTISS JENNY AIRPLANE AND
REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT ITEMS FOR THE MULTI-PURPOSE EVENT
CENTER TOTALING $850,000; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The Wichita Falls 4B Sales Tax Board met on March 21 to consider
requests for the purchase of a Curtiss Jenny Airplane and repair and replacement items
for the Multi-Purpose Event Center; and
WHEREAS, The 4B Sales Tax Board approved $350,000 for the purchase of a
Curtiss Jenny Airplane conditioned upon the City owning the plane and requisite hangar
improvements; and
WHEREAS, The 4B Sales Tax Board approved $500,000 for repair and
replacement items at the Multi-Purpose Event Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Wichita Falls 4B Sales Tax Board 2006-2007 Budget is hereby
amended in the amount of $350,000 for the purchase of a Curtiss Jenny airplane.
SECTION 2. The Wichita Falls 4B Sales Tax Board 2006-2007 Budget is hereby
amended in the amount of $500,000 for various repair and replacement items at the
Multi-Purpose Event Center.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
