RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE USE OF A HANGER AT
KICKAPOO DOWNTOWN AIRPORT FOR THE PURPOSE OF A
WORLD WAR I/ CALL FIELD MUSEUM; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls owns hangers at Kickapoo Downtown
Airport; and
WHEREAS, any deviation from the Kickapoo Downtown Airport rates and
charges study must be approved by City Council; and
WHEREAS, the Museum of North Texas History wants to establish a museum
on Kickapoo Downtown Airport property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The use of the hanger at Kickapoo Downtown Airport for a
museum will become effective upon the acquisition of a World War I vintage Curtis
Jenny aircraft.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
