RESOLUTION NO. ���
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 1,200 YARD
WASTE CARTS AND 1,200 REFUSE CARTS FROM REHRIG PACIFIC
COMPANY, IN THE AMOUNT OF $116,832.00, THROUGH THE BUY
BOARD PURCHASING COOPERATIVE AND MAKING A BUDGETARY
APPROPRIATION IN THE SANITATION FUND FOR THIS PURCHASE;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, local governments are authorized by Chapter 791,et seq., The
Interlocal Cooperation Act of the Government Code, to agree with other local
governments to form purchasing cooperatives; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase rollout refuse and yard waste
carts, and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to purchase through the Buy Board
Purchasing Cooperative, and
WHEREAS, the funding needed for this purchase was not anticipated when the
2006-07 budget was adopted, and
WHEREAS, reserve funds are available in the Sanitation Fund for this purchase.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to purchase 1,200 yard waste carts and
1,200 refuse carts from Rehrig Pacific Company in the amount of $116,832.00.
SECTION 2. A budgetary appropriation of $116,832.00 in the Sanitation Fund is
hereby approved for this purchase.

SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
