RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, TO AWARD BID AND CONTRACT FOR THE RIVER
ROAD WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT ODOR ABATEMENT
PROJECT, CWF06-550-12 AND MAKING A BUDGETARY
APPROPRIATION IN THE WATER AND SEWER FUND IN THE
AMOUNT OF $294,687.00 FOR THIS PROJECT; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has advertised for bids for the River Road
Wastewater Treatment Plant Odor Abatement Project ; and
WHEREAS, it is found that the lowest, responsible bidder is Legacy Contracting,
who made a lump sum bid with an estimated total of $1,584,288.00.
WHEREAS, in order to fund this project, it is necessary to make an appropriation
in the Water/Sewer Fund for $294,687.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Said lump sum bid of Legacy Contracting, with an estimated total of
$1,584,288.00 is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a
contract for the City with said Contractor for the construction of such project.
SECTION 2. A budgetary appropriation in the amount of $294,687.00 in the
Water and Sewer Fund is hereby approved for this project.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
