RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MULTI-PURPOSE DIRECTOR AND CITY
MANAGER TO ESTABLISH RENTAL RATES FOR FACILITIES AT THE MULTI-
PURPOSE EVENTS CENTER; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, on September 5, 2006, by Resolution 118-2006, the City became
the sole operator of the facilities at the Multi-Purpose Events Center; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish rental rates for use of the facilities and
other related charges.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . The Director of the Multi-Purpose Events Center, in consultation
with the City Manager is authorized to establish the rental rates and other fees for
facilities at the MPEC. The City Manager and MPEC Director may negotiate any of the
rates or fees for use of the MPEC facilities and may adjust fees as they deem
necessary. The fees established by this resolution are used to offset the cost of
operating the facilities and are not subject to a waiver.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
