RESOLUTION TO AWARD BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF A JET
REFUELER TRUCK TO FOUR STARS MOTORS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$90,351.93 AND MAKING AN APPROPRIATION OF $18,352.00 IN
AIRPORT EQUITY TO COVER THE UNBUDGETED AMOUNT FOR
THIS EQUIPMENT; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of a 1,000 gallon jet refuelertruck; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on December 22, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the low bid was $18,352 more than the amount approved in the
budget; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in Airport Equity to cover this additional
cost; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase a jet refueler truck for the
Kickapoo Airport.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to award the bid for the purchase a 1,000
gallon jet refueler truck to Four Stars Motors in the amount of $90,351.93.
SECTION 2. An appropriation of $18,352.00 in Airport Equity is approved for this
purchase.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
