RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH CHRISTMAS IN ACTION FOR FY 2007-2008;
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Public Hearing held October 2, 2007 amended the one year
CDBG Action Plan to include funding for Christmas in Action for FY 2007-08 ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to enter into a contract with Christmas in
Action for the use of these funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with
the following organization in the amounts specified below:
Aqencv Fund Amount
Christmas in Action
(Elderly and Disabled Homeowner Repair) CDBG $ 84,000
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 16th day of October, 2007.
