RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS; AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A HEAVY RESCUE / HAZ-MAT
VEHICLE, APPROVED THROUGH THE FEMA ASSISTANCE TO
FIREFIGHTERS GRANT PROGRAM, FROM HALL MOTORS DOING
BUSINESS AS FERRARA FIRE APPARATUS INCORPORATED, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $325,000. FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, local governments are authorized by Chapter 791, et seq., The Interlocal
Cooperation Act of the Government Code, to agree with other local governments to form
purchasing cooperatives; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls has passed a resolution
approving the participation in such cooperative agreements; and
WHEREAS, The Wichita Falls Fire Department received four (4) quotes from different
vendors, and;
WHEREAS, Ferrara Fire Apparatus Inc. provided the best solution for this project, and;
WHEREAS, Ferrara Fire Apparatus Incorporated has been selected as the vendor of
choice to build this Rescue / Haz-Mat with purchase occurring through the Houston-Galveston
Area purchasing Cooperative (HGAC)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1.. The City Manager authorizes Hall Motors dba Ferrara Fire Apparatus
Incorporated to build this Rescue / Haz-Mat to the specifications agreed to by the City of
Wichita Falls and the Wichita Falls Fire Department.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
