Resolution authorizing award of bid to various vendors for the City's
Annual Supply of Chemicals for Water and Wastewater Treatment
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the
purchase of the annual supply of chemicals for water and wastewater treatment; and,
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on August 14, 2017; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to purchase chemicals for the City's water
and wastewater treatment operation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Authorization is granted to award bids for the purchase of bulk water and
wastewater treatment for each chemical as follows:
Liquid Ammonium Sulfate to Chemtrade Chemicals US LLC in the amount
of $36,800.00.
Anhydrous Ammonia to Shrieve Chemical Company in the amount of
$55,720.00.
Aquamag to Carus Corporation in the amount of $3,915.00.
Liquid Carbon Dioxide to Ethanol Products LLC (Poet CO2) in the amount
of $112,375.00.
Liquid Citric Acid 50% to Brenntag Southwest, Inc. in the amount of
$37,486.90.
Liquid Chlorine to DPC Industries Company in the amount of $274,470.00.
Copper Sulfate to Thatcher Company in the amount of $11,832.00.
Liquid Ferric Chloride to Kemira Water Solutions, Inc. in the amount of
$374,400.00.
Liquid Ferric Sulfate to Chemtrade Chemicals US LLC in the amount of
$270,095.76.
Citric Acid (Food Grade) to Univar USA in the amount of $3,360.00.
Liquid Hydrochloric Acid 15% to Maverick Chemical Supply in an amount to
be determined.
Hydrofluosilicic Acid (Fluoride) to Pencco, Inc. in the amount of $23,490.00.
Lime Slurry to Lhoist North America of Texas in the amount of $102,720.00.
Liquid Oxygen to Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc. in the amount of $12,150.00.
Calcium Oxide (Pebble Quicklime) to Texas Lime Company in the amount
of $494,550.00.
