Res 184-2007 12/4/2007 RESOLUTION NO. 184-2007
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, CONFIRMING APPOINTMENTS TO THE FIREFIGHTERS' AND
POLICE OFFICERS' CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS
PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Firefighters' and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission is
established by state law, specifically S2CtI0n 143.006 Of the TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT CODE
and,
WHEREAS, it is a three-member board, whose members are appointed by the City
Manager, with confirmation by the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager requests the confirmation of the appointment of Dr.
Ernest Dover to the Firefighters' and Police Officers' Civil Service Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The appointment of Dr. Ernest Dover to the Firefighters' and Police
Officers' Civil Service Commission is hereby confirmed.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
