RESOLUTION NO. 191-2007
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AWARD OF BID FOR THE CITY'S ESTiMATED
ANNUAL REQUIREMENT OF READY MIX CONCRETE AND CURB & GUTTER
MIX TO CITY CONCRETE IN THE AMOUNT OF $173,912.50 AND TO PITTS
READY MIX FOR FLOWABLE FILL IN THE AMOUNT OF $38,400.00,; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls advertised and requested bids for the City's
estimated annual requirement of ready mix concrete and flowable fill; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and publicly opened on November 30, 2007; and
WHEREAS, 4he City Council desires to purchase ready mix concrete and flowable fill for
use by various city departments during the next twelve-month period.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Authorization is granted to award the bid for the City's estimated annual
requirement of ready mix concrete and curb & gutter mix to City Concrete in the amount of
$173,912.50 and to Pitts Ready Mix for flowable fill in the amount of $38,400.00.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
resolution was passed was open to the public as required by law.
