Res 105-2011 11/15/2011 RESOLUTION NO. _105-2011__ Resolution Authorizing The City Manager To Apply For A Two Year Designation Into The Federal Aviation Administration Military Airports Program And Request An Amount Of $5,319,000 For Non- Airport Improvement Program Projects At Wichita Falls Municipal Airport WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has identified the need for infrastructure improvements at Wichita Falls Municipal Airport through City Council Strategic Planning and Public Participation processes; WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Municipal Airport Master Plan specifically identifies capital improvement projects for the next 20-year planning cycle; WHEREAS, possible funding for such capital improvement projects may be available from the Federal Aviation Administration Military Airports Program; and WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls is formally seeking acceptance into the Military Airport Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to pursue and apply for designation into the Federal Aviation Administration Military Airports Program, for the construction of capital infrastructure improvements at the Wichita Falls Municipal Airport. th PASSED AND APPROVED this the15 day of November, 2011. ______________________________ M A Y O R ATTEST: ____________________ City Clerk
