1. Call to Order
Dick Bundy called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.
2. Executive Session
Mr. Bundy adjourned the meeting into executive session at 8:01 a.m. pursuant to Texas
GOVERNMENT CODE section 551.087. He announced the meeting back into regular session at 8:35
a.m. The subjects posted in the Notice of Meeting were deliberated, and no votes or further action
was taken on these items in executive session.
3. Discussion and possible approval of funding regarding proposal from Chantex
Manufacturing, Inc.
Travis Haggard introduced Josh Roberts and Ray Roberts of Chantex Manufacturing; Sam
Pak, who was instrumental in bringing the first Chantex project to the 4A Board; and D.J. Dickey
of Legend Bank. Mr. Bundy thanked them for coming.
Leo Lane said the Board has received more financial information regarding Chantex since
the meeting of August 17. He congratulated the Roberts brothers on the growth of their company,
and said the WFEDC wants to help them continue their expansion. He then asked them about the
additional income that is noted on the financial statement. Ray Roberts said that is the loan on the
building; it is placed in their account via direct deposit.
Mr. Lane moved that the WFEDC approve $168,750 as a no -interest forgivable loan to
Chantex Manufacturing Inc under the terms presented by the Chamber at the August 17, 2017
meeting Seconded by Reno Gustafson the motion carried 5-0.
4. Adjourn
The meeting adjourned at 8:50 a.m.
