ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20-2006 DECLARING
CERTAIN STRUCTURES AS DANGEROUS BY AUTHORIZING A
RESTORATION PERMIT FOR 1201 N 9 (REAR) AND TO DECLARE
AN EMERGENCY; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the property at 1201 N 9 (Rear), currently owned by Mary Castro,
was included in a list of properties that were declared hazardous structures at the City
Council meeting of April 4, 2006; and,
WHEREAS, timely demolition has not occurred and Ms. Castro has requested
consideration of a Restoration Permit; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to grant such Permit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The demolition order issued for the property at 1201 N 9 (Rear)
on April 4, 2006, is to be amended to authorize of a Restoration Permit with the Permit
to be obtained within 30 days of the date of the adoption of this Ordinance and the work
to be substantially completed with 90 days thereafter
SECTION 2. Due to the fact that the subject matter of this ordinance affects the
public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Wichita Falls, this
ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure, and shall become effective
immediately upon its passage.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
