ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OI
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE v�--��ir,�
REVENUE FUND FOR GRANT FUNDING RECEIVED FROM THE
DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES FOR THE WOMEN,
INFANTS AND CHILDREN (WIC) PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF
$15,000.00; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT
WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, reading to a child encourages the child to associate reading with
love and comfort; and
WHEREAS, the more you talk and read to a child the quicker the child will learn;
and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2006 —2007 budget..
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund
$15,000.00 for the WIC program to enroll children in the Imagination library.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
