ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, REZONING 2800 HOLLYWOOD AVENUE AND
ADJACENT RIGHT-OF-WAY FROM SINGLE FAMILY-2 TO LIMITED
COMMERCIAL AND AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed
zoning change at their January 10, 2007, meeting and voted to recommend approval of
this request and related Land Use Plan amendment; and
WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed this application and has determined that
the herein described zoning and Land Use Plan change is in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. A tract of land described as 2800 Hollywood Avenue, Lot 10-A,
Block 54-A, Highland Addition, and adjacent Hollywood Avenue right-of-way (0.75
Acres in all) as shown on the attached map, incorporated in this ordinance as
Attachment "A," is hereby designated "Light Commercial" on the Comprehensive Land
Use Plan."
SECTION 2 . The tract of land described in Section One of this ordinance is
hereby rezoned to "Limited Commercial."
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
