ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 3070, 3130 AND 5715 OF
APPENDIX B, ZONING, CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, CODE OF
ORDINANCES, TO ALLOW BED AND BREAKFAST INNS AS A
CONDITIONAL USE IN SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICTS; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed
zoning amendment at their January 10, 2007, meeting and voted to recommend
approval of this request; and
WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed this proposal and has determined that the
herein described zoning amendment is in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. SF-1 Single Family Residential District (Large Lot) Section 3070,
Conditional Uses, Commercial Uses, is hereby amended to add "Bed & Breakfast Inn"
in its proper alphabetical order.
SECTION 2. SF-2 Single Family Residential District (Standard Lot) Section
3130, Conditional Uses, Commercial Uses, is hereby amended to add "Bed & Breakfast
Inn" in its proper alphabetical order.
SECTION 3. Section 5715 Bed and Breakfast Regulations, Spacing
Requirements, is hereby amended by adding the following underlined text:
"In SF-I & SF-2 zones, a Bed & Breakfast Homestay or a Bed & Breakfast Inn
shall be limited to one (1) per block face. Block face shall mean properties which front
on one side of a street, and lie between two intersecting streets."
SECTION 4. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
