ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SPECIAL
REVENUE FUND FOR ADDITIONAL HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR
PERSONS WITH ACQUIRED IMMUNODEFICIENCY SYNDROME
(HOPWA) GRANT FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $36,386 RECEIVED
FROM TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT ACCEPTING SAME; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District has received
notice of the availability of HOPWA grant revenue from Tarrant County; Texas, and
WHEREAS, the Public Health District desires to receive these funds to continue
providing housing and utility assistance to eligible clients; and
WHEREAS, the award of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the FY 2006-2007 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated into the Special Revenue Fund
$36,386 for the HOPWA grant and the City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contact with Tarrant County for the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District
accepting same.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
