Resolution No. _112-2017__
Resolution authorizing the City Manager to apply for Grant Funds
from the Firehouse Subs Foundation Grant Program in the amount of
$25,000.00
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has been notified that it is eligible for up to
$25,000.00 from the Firehouse Subs Foundation Grant Program; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to authorize the City Manager to submit an
application to obtain any available funds from the Firehouse Subs Foundation Grant
Program; and,
WHEREAS, the remaining balance not funded by the Firehouse Subs
Foundation Grant will be paid through the Police Department’s seized funds account ;
and,
WHEREAS, the Police Department intends to use these funds to assist in the
purchase of an Avatar III Surveillance/Negotiations Robot.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply for the Firehouse Subs
Foundation Grant Program for funds in the amount of $25,000.00.
