Ordinance No. _30-2017__
Ordinance amending the 2016-17 budget in the amount of $838,253
and awarding a contract to Tyler Technologies, Inc. for software and
professional services to replace the City’s Finance and Human
Resource software applications
WHEREAS, the City has been informed that after December 2018, its current
Finance and Human Resource’s software applications will no longer be supported by
warranty and/or maintenance agreements through existing vendors; and ,
WHEREAS, the City needs to replace these software applications with a new
vendor supported product; and ,
WHEREAS, it is recommended that the City award a contract to Tyler
Technologies Inc. for software and professional services related to this project; and,
WHEREAS, funding of this project was not anticipated in the 2016 -17 budget;
and,
WHEREAS, the Information Technology internal service fund has funds
available for this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The 2016-17 budget is hereby amended in the amount of $838,253 and
authorization is granted to the City Manager to enter into a contract with Tyler
Technologies, Inc. for software and professional services to replace the City’s current
Finance and Human Resource software.
