1. CALL TO ORDER.
A. John Fritzsch called the meeting to order at 1:32 p.m.
2. MINUTES.
A. The minutes of April 27, 2017 were put before the Board for approval.
Stephen Garner made the motion to approve the minutes and Jim Potts
seconded the motion. Motion passed.
3. DEPARTMENTAL REPORT.
A. Circle Trail :
• Wichita Bluff Nature Area section is near completion.
Looking at a
dedication day in August 2017.
• BNSF Railway gave a one year extension for the trail permanent
easement project.
• The grant applications to TXDOT for three Circle
Trail section
submitted on May 22, 2017 made first round cut.
80% of trail
construction will be paid by TXDOT.
• Park Maintenance is in full swing.
• Bridge Replacement and By -Pass Trail project the
Falls coming
along with the contractor ahead of schedule.
• The Watermill ornamental landscape structure will be installed at
intersection of Maplewood Dr.+1'Z-a,u;,-c ry
4. PARK IMPROVEMENT COMMITTEE:
A. Lake Wichita Revitalization Committee: John Fritzsch asked to be
replaced on the LWRC board, due to inability to attend meetings.
B. A "Flying Fish" Sculpture has been offered to the City by Robert Seabury.
Board Member Sandy Fleming moves to recommend acceptance of the
sculpture and Charlie Zamastil seconded the motion. Motion passed.
C. Brick sales are coming in 1 sold every 2 days.
