Ordinance annexing 12.77 acres of land out of Blocks 12 & 13,
League 2, Denton County School Land, Abstract No. 57, located at
5018 and 5030 Gregg Road at the request of the property owner;
accepting the Trophy Park Subdivision Servicing Plan for said tract
under authority of Texas Local Government Code Section 43.028 –
authority of municipalities to annex sparsely occupied area on
petition of area landowners
WHEREAS, the Planning Division received a request for petitioned annexation
on July 6, 2017; and,
WHEREAS, the governing body, Wichita Falls City Council, heard arguments for
and against the petition on July 18, 2017 and granted the petition for annexation by
area landowners; and,
WHEREAS, City departments have reviewed such annexation request and find
that such annexation would not burden City resources in providing service; and ,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that such annexation is in the
public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. A tract of land being 12.77 acres out of Blocks 12 & 13, League 2, Denton
County School Land, Abstract No. 57, described in Field Notes herein included as
Attachment ‘A’ and as shown on the map included as Attachment ‘B,’ is hereby
annexed into the City of Wichita Falls.
2. The City Council further directs the City Clerk to file a certified and true
copy of this ordinance together with a copy or duplicate of the petition for annexation in
the office of the Wichita County Clerk, Wichita County after its passage as required by
law.

13, League 2, Denton County School Land, Abstract No. 57, also known as 5018 Gregg Road and 5030
Gregg Road, Wichita County, Texas, the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita County,
Texas; did determine that such annexation would not burden City resources in providing service and that
such annexation is in the public interest as ordained by the City Council of the City of Wichita Falls,
