ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SPECIAL REVENUE FUND FOR RYAN
WHITE GRANT FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $52,804 RECEIVED FROM
TARRANT COUNTY, TEXAS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACTS ACCEPTING SAME; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District has received
notice of the availability of Ryan White grant revenue from Tarrant County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the Health District and Tarrant County, Texas desire to enter into a
contract for HIV preventative services; and
WHEREAS, the approval of these funds could not have been anticipated prior to
the adoption of the 2006-2007 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated in the Special Revenue Fund $31,275
for the HIV prevention program, and the City Manager is authorized to enter into a
contract with the Department of State Health Services for the Wichita Falls-Wichita
County Health District.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
