ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, ADJUSTING WATER CHARGES ON THE JULY 2007
WATER BILL OF A CUSTOMER AT 4501 LISA LANE DUE TO A LEAK
EXPERIENCED DURING THE RECENT FLOOD DISASTER; FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City was contacted by a water customer at 4501 Lisa Lane who
recently experienced a water leak on an irrigation system during the recent flood
disaster; and
WHEREAS, this leak was caused by the excessive flooding and could not have
been detected due to the evacuation and excessive flood waters during this time; and
WHEREAS, the leak was ultimately identified and repaired as soon as practical
after the flooding incident.
WHEREAS, this flood was declared a federal disaster.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The water bill at this location is hereby amended for the July 2007
billing from $660.71 to $62.51.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
