Ordinance No. _19-2017_
Ordinance rezoning approximately 0.241 acres of land at 4005
Gossett from Single Family-2 Residential (SF-2) to Limited
Commercial (LC) and amending the Land Use Plan to change the
area from Low Density Residential to Light Commercial
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the prop osed
zoning change at its May 10, 2017 meeting, and voted 5 to 4 not to recommend
approval of this request based on potential adverse impacts to the adjacent and
abutting residential-zoned properties; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this request and has determined the
herein described Zoning and Land Use Plan amendments are in the public interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF W ICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1. Lot 2, Block 13, White Acres #1 Subdivision (a.k.a. 4005 Gossett), as
depicted on the attached map incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment “A”, is
hereby rezoned from Single Family-2 Residential (SF-2) to Limited Commercial (LC).
2. The area on the Land Use Map, as depicted on the attached map
incorporated in this ordinance as Attachment “B”, is hereby amended to change the
area from Low Density Residential to Light Commercial.
