Ordinance re-opening that section of Travis Street located in the
MPEC South Addition north of Fifth Street , previously vacated and
abandoned by Ordinance 153-94 on December 20, 1994, as shown
and depicted on the attached Location Map and Exhibit “A”
WHEREAS, public street access to the proposed hotel location is necessary for
development; and,
WHEREAS, re-opening the portion of Travis Street as indicated will allow
Gatehouse Capital to access required City utilities; and,
WHEREAS, the City has determined re-opening this section of Travis Street to
be in the best interest of the public to promote economic development and downtown
revitalization.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The section of Travis Street located in the MPEC South Addition; previously
vacated and abandoned as depicted on the attached Exhibit “A”, is hereby re-opened.
