ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TAXICAB SERVICE FRANCHISE
GRANTED TO DAVILA/ALL AMERICAN CAB TO INCREASE THE
NUMBER OF VEHICLES AUTHORIZED; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED
WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, All American Cab has a taxicab service franchise to operated within
the city of Wichita Falls; and
WHEREAS, the manager has requested an increase in the number of vehicles
authorized under said franchise to provide better service; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 110, Vehicles For Hire, Article II, Division 2, Section 110-62
of the Code of Ordinances stipulates that a franchise may be amended by the City
Council to increase the number of vehicles authorized under the franchise at a public
hearing and after finding that an increase is required for public convenience and
necessity; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that an increase in the number of
vehicles authorized to All American Cab is required for public convenience and
necessity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The taxicab franchise granted to Davila/All American Cab is hereby
amended to increase the number of vehicles permitted by five (5) from seven (7) to
finrelve (12).
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
