ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS CHANGING THE
DATE OF THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED CITY COUNCIL MEETING FROM
JANUARY 1, 2008, TO JANUARY 2, 2008; FINDING AND DETERMINING
THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the first regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council of the City of
Wichita Falls in 2008 falls on New Year's Day, January 1; and,
WHEREAS, City offices will be closed in recognition of this National Holiday; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to change the date of this meeting to Wednesday,
January 2, 2008.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The first regularly scheduled meeting in 2008 of the Wichita Falls City
Council is hereby changed from Tuesday, January 1, 2008, to Wednesday, January 2, 2008.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
