Resolution expressing the City’s intent to either transfer title of land
or provide a 99-year land lease to Gatehouse Capital for the
proposed Doubletree Hotel Project .
WHEREAS, the City and Gatehouse Capital are considering a pa rtnership on a
Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Development Project; and ,
WHEREAS, Gatehouse Capital is currently making application for a franchise
with the Hilton Hotel; and,
WHEREAS, a part of that franchise application requires that Gatehouse
demonstrate that they have adequate control of the site where the hotel will be
constructed; and,
WHEREAS, the City has agreed to contribute the land for the hotel through
either a title transfer or a long term lease agreement with Gatehouse.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City hereby expresses its intent to either transfer title of land or provide a
99-year land lease to Gatehouse Capital for the proposed Doubletree Hotel Project .
