1. CALL TO ORDER.
A. John Fritzsch called the meeting to order at 1:35 p.m.
2. MINUTES.
A. The minutes of December 8, 2017 were put before the Board for approval.
Jim Potts made the motion to approve the minutes and Colby Huffman
seconded the motion.
B. New Officer's were voted in as follows: John FrItZSGh Chairman, Marcy
Brown Marsden Co -Chair.
C. Recreation staff was introduced to the Park Board by Scott McGee: Kathy
Geil, Kim Hames, Travis Pence.
3. DEPARTMENTAL REPORT.
A. Circle Trail :
• Wichita Bluff Nature Area Section, surety's contractor continuing
working on completing the contract by summer.
• TXDOT matching grant project from east Oncor property to Loop 11
• Waiting on BNSF access permit for the City Survey crew to take
measurement in order to complete construction plans &
specification.
• Looking to receive from BNSF a permanent easement in May.

• CBDG Bridwell Park restroom replacement completed, Shelter was
upgraded and parking spaces were built. Replacement of restroom
steel shell at East Lynwood Park is ready for painting.
• Park Maintenance is still removing dead trees around town.
• Parks Dept. is spreading mulch around trees.
• Expressway Village Park pond fountain is now working.
• A ceremony is planned for the planting of a pecan tree seedling
giving by Senator Estes from Texas A&M,. It was grown from a tree
nut growing in 1836 at the Washington -on -the -Brazos.
• Recreation Dept. has 4 interns from MSU for this semester.
• Registration continuing for softball, kickball, and volleyball.
A. Lake Wichita Revitalization Committee:
• Evaluating Circle Trail bridge over Lake Wichita option and
considering acquisition of a parcel of land for improved access at
the end of Barnett Rd.
5. ADJOURNMENT.
A. Meeting was adjourned at 2:35pm p.m.
