1. CALL TO ORDER.
A. John Fritzsch called the meeting to order at 1:36 p.m.
2. MINUTES.
A. The minutes of January 26, 2017 were put before the Board for approval.
Marcy Brown Marsden made the motion to approve the minutes and Charlie
Zamastil seconded the motion. Motion passed.
B. March 7, 2017 City Council appointed Park Board Member John Fritzsch to
the Lake Wichita Revitalization Committee, replacing Park Board
Representative Steve Garner.
3. DEPARTMENTAL REPORT.
• Circle Trail.
• Wichita Bluff Nature Area Section. The surety's contractor
continuing working on completing the contract by August 2017.
• Both Archways nearly completed, stone work around large shelter
really dresses it up. Looks beautiful. Phase B is the paving the
remaining unpaved trail.
• Recreation Dept. Adult soccer starting up. Hiring summer help is
underway. Utilizing Sports Complex for kickball and flag football.
4. PARK IMPROVEMENT COMMITTEE.
• Lake Wichita Revitalization Committee:
• April 11, 2017 Tuesday is the next Lake Wichita Meeting.
• Approximately 400 attended the Lake Wichita Revitalization Dinner
March 16, 2017 with guest speaker Theodore Roosevelt IV.
