Ord 05-2008 2/5/2008 ti ORDINANCE NO. 5-2008 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 102-20007 DECLARING CERTAIN STRUCTURES AS DANGEROUS BY ALLOWING EXTRA TIME TO REHABILITATE 2185 AVENUE L, 1627 BRITAIN AND 2131 RICHMOND TO CITY COUNCIL; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the property at E75 FT LOT 14 BLK 96A Highland Addition (aka 2185 Avenue L), currently owned by George Mares, was included in a list of properties that were declared hazardous structures at the City Council meeting of December 4, 2007; and, WHEREAS, City Council tabled this item giving staff time to review and discuss options with Mr. Mares; and, WHEREAS, Mr. Mares has requested time to rehabilitate structure; and, WHEREAS, the property at LOT 11 BLK 1 Campbell Addition (aka 1627 Britain), currently owned by Jamey Tanner, was included in a list of properties that were declared hazardous structures at the City Council meeting of December 4, 2007; and, WHEREAS, the property at LOT 87 BLK 1 Nelson- Stone Subdivision (aka 2131 Richmond), currently owned by James Clarence Walters, was included in a list of properties that were declared hazardous structures at the City Council meeting of December 4, 2007; and, WHEREAS, Mr. Mote has requested additional time to purchase and rehabilitate this structure; and, WHEREAS, the City Council desires to grant Mr. Mares, Mr. Tanner and Mr. Mote additional time in the form of restoration permits for their properties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. Additional time in the amount of days to end at the end of the business day is to granted to the property owner of 2185 Avenue L to obtain a Restoration Building Permit, substantial progress shall have been accomplished days after the above date, and complete restoration be accomplished by the end of the business day days from issuance of the permit. Failure to complete timeframe requirements will result in the demolition of the structure, without further notification. Upon rehabilitation of structure, the demolition order shall become void. � � SECTION 2 . SECTION 5. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
