AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 94-2007, TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF
TAXI CAB VEHICLES PERMITTED TO KEVIN CALLAHAN, TEXHOMA
TRANSPORTATION, INC. DBA SKYLARK TAXI; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE
PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, City Council authorized Kevin Callahan, Texhoma Transportation, Inc. dba
Skylark Taxi, a taxi cab franchise with seventeen permits to operate within the city limits of
Wichita Falls; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 94-2007 increased the number of special service vehicle
permits under Texhoma Transportation, Inc. dba Skylark Taxi franchise from seventeen to
twenty-five; and
WHEREAS, City Council has received a request from Kevin Callahan, franchise holder
to increase the number of permits from twenty-five to thirty-five; and
WHEREAS, City Council conducted a public hearing to consider this request and finds
that an increase in the number of permits authorized to Kevin Callahan dba Texhoma
Transportation, Inc. dba Skylark Taxi is required for public convenience and necessity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 94-2007, granting an increase in the number of taxi cab
permits to Kevin Callahan, dba Texhoma Transportation, Inc, dba Skylark Taxi, is hereby
amended increasing the number of permits for taxi cabs by ten, from twenty-five to thirty-five.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
