ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE GENERAL FUND IN THE
AMOUNT OF $50,000.00 TO ASSIST THE WICHITA FALLS AREA DISASTER
RECOVERY COMMITTEE IN AIDING FLOOD VICTIMS; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS
PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Wichita Falls Area Disaster Recovery Committee has requested
$50,000 from the City to assist individuals affected by the July 2007 flooding disaster, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to approve funding for this purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. A one-time General Fund appropriation in the amount of $50,000 is hereby
approved to assist the Wichita Falls Area Disaster Recovery Committee in aiding individuals
affected by the July 2007 flooding disaster.
SECTION 2. These funds will not be expended until both parties agree to a funding
agreement.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
