ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, APPROPRIATING $296,337 FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO PAY
FOR 17.7 ACRES OF SOD AT WEEKS PARK GOLF COURSE; FINDING AND
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS
PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, The City of Wichita Falls wishes to prepare Weeks Park Golf Course for
the Texas/Oklahoma Junior Golf Tournament in 2008; and
WHEREAS, To prepare Weeks Park Golf Course for the 2008 Texas/Oklahoma Junior
Golf Tournament, sod will have to be installed on 17.7 acres at a total not-to-exceed cost of
$296,337; and
WHEREAS, Such expenditure will require an appropriation from the General Fund in the
amount of $296,337.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. A General Fund Appropriation is hereby approved in the amount of
$296,337 for sod at Weeks Park Golf Course.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
