ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ��"� �
FALLS, TEXAS, REAPPOINTING GARY BUTLER AS A SUBSTITUTE
JUDGE OF THE MUNICIPAL COURT FOR A TERM OF TWO YEARS;
FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS
ORDINANCE WAS DISCUSSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS
REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, in 2006, the City Council appointed Gary Butler to a two-year term
as a substitute judge to act in the place and stead of the Municipal Judge during the
week while the Municipal Judge is on vacation or otherwise unavailable; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Butler has expressed interest in being reappointed to serve in
such capacity; and,
WHEREAS, The Honorable Larry A. Gillen, Judge of the Municipal Court,
recommends such reappointment; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council approves of the reappointment of Mr. Butler to
serve as a substitute judge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby reappoints Gary Butler to serve as a
substitute judge of the Municipal Court for a term of finro years, from June 17, 2008.
SECTION 2. It is officially found and determined that the meeting at which this
ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
