Resolution No. _53-2017_
Resolution to approve Change Order No. 2 for the Taxiway C
Reconstruction Project at Wichita Falls Regional Airport to Garver,
LLC in an amount of $138,800
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls entered into a contract with Garver LLC
with an estimated total cost of $379,952; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls will incur additional project management
expenses because of extensions to the project completion deadline; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls shall assess liquidated damages to Mitchell
Enterprises LLC as a result of these project delays; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls approved Change Order No. 1 in the
amount of $197,250; and,
WHEREAS, liquidated damages shall also be used to offset the additional
project management costs identified in change Order No. 2 in the amount of $138,800;
and,
WHEREAS, the amended contract amount with Garver LLC shall be $716,002;
and
WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed all aspects of this change order and
believes that it is in the City’s best interest to approve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Change Order No. 2 for the Reconstruction of Taxiway C Project at Wichita Falls
Regional Airport (AIP No. 3-48-0346-16) is hereby approved and the City Manager is
authorized to make amendments to this contract with Garver, LLC, with changes
thereto in a form approved by the City Attorney, in an estimated amount of $138,800.
