Resolution No. _R 46-2017__
Resolution authorizing award bid for purchase of two (2) 1-ton service
trucks with 2700AR winches from the local bidder Wichita Falls Ford-
Lincoln, Inc., in the amount of $89,800.50.
WHEREAS, the City advertised and requested bids for the purchase of two (2) 1-
ton service trucks with 2700AR winches, and
WHEREAS, the city has reviewed the bid from the low bidder for the 1-ton service
trucks with 2700AR winches, Pruitt Ford, in the amount of $89,643.50; and the local
bidder Wichita Falls Ford Lincoln, Inc., in the amount of $89,800.50, and find both
acceptable, and
WHEREAS, Local Government Code Section §271.9051 …..allows a municipality
to award a bid that is wi thin five percent of the lowest bid price received to the bidder
whose principal place of business is in the municipality if the governing body of the
municipality determines, in writing, that the local bidder offers the municipality the best
combination of contract price and additional economic development opportunities for the
municipality created by the contract award, including the employment of residents of the
municipality and increased tax revenues to the municipality…...
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
City staff are authorized to execute all documents necessary to purchase:
Two (2) 1-ton service trucks with 2700AR winches from the low bidder
Pruitt Ford in the amount of $89,643.50.
or
Two (2) 1-ton service trucks with 2700AR wenches from the l ocal bidder,
Wichita Falls Ford-Lincoln, Inc. in the amount of $89,800.50.
