Ord 49-2008 9/2/2008 e 1 ORDINANCE NO. '�-�� ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, REZONING VARIOUS TRACTS WITHIN THE WICHITA FALLS BUSINESS PARK AND THE FORMER STANLEY TOOLS PROPERTY TO LIGHT INDUSTRIAL AND HEAVY INDUSTRIAL RESPECTIVELY AND AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW. WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed zoning change at their August 13, 2008 meeting and voted to recommend approval of this request and related amendments to the Land Use Plan ; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed this request and has determined that the herein described zoning and Land Use Plan change is in the public interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. Tract 1, as shown on the attached map incorporated in this ordinance as attachment "A", being approximately 441.67 acres of land annexed into the city limits on August 5, 2008, is hereby rezoned from Single Family-1 to Light Industrial. SECTION 2 . The aforementioned area described in Section 1 of this ordinance is hereby designated as Light Industrial on the Land Use Plan. SECTION 3. Tract 2, as shown on the attached map incorporated in this ordinance as attachment "A", being approximately 70.2 acres of land, commonly known as the Stanley Tools property, annexed into the city limits on August 5, 2008, is hereby rezoned from Single Family-1 to Heavy Industrial. SECTION 4 . The aforementioned area described in Section 3 of this ordinance is hereby designated as Industrial on the Land Use Plan. SECTION 5. Tract 3, as shown on the attached map incorporated in this ordinance as attachment "A", being approximately 6.5 acres of land, annexed into the city limits on December 3, 1978, is hereby rezoned from Heavy Industrial to Light Industrial. . . . . SECTION 6 . The aforementioned area described in Section 5 of this ordinance is hereby designated as Light Industrial on the Land Use Plan. SECTION 7. Tract 4, as shown on the attached map incorporated in this ordinance as attachment "A", being approximately 16.22 acres of land annexed into the city limits on August 5, 2008, is hereby rezoned from Single Family-1 to Light Industrial. SECTION 8 . The aforementioned area described in Section 7 of this ordinance is hereby designated as Light Industrial on the Land Use Plan. SECTION 9. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this the 2" day of September, 2008.
