ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, MAKING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE GENERAL
FUND FOR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SOFTBALL COMPLEX
EXPANSION PROJECT; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City is in the process of constructing four additional softball fields
at the Sports Complex; and
WHEREAS, the budget for this project totaled $2.6 million, of which $1.6 million
was derived from bond proceeds, $500,000 from 4B Sales Tax Funds, and $500,000
from the City's General Fund; and
WHEREAS, the bond proceeds have been received and budgeted and the 4B
Sales Tax Budget was amended; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate $500,000 in the City's General Fund to
complete the financing on this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. An appropriation of $500,000 is hereby approved in the City's
General Fund for a portion of the cost associated with the four field expansion of the
City's Softball Complex.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
