ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, DISSOLVING THE CLEAN COMMUNITY COMMISSION
BY REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 78-2000, ORDINANCE NO. 68-99,
AND ORDINANCE NO. 92-84; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the Clean Community Commission was created to analyze, make
recommendations, and implement procedures to promote, enhance, and preserve the
natural beauty of the City; and
WHEREAS, the duties of the Clean Community Commission have been
absorbed by Keep Wichita Falls Beautiful; and
WHEREAS, the Clean Community Commission has not been actively functional
in over a year, and the remaining members feel it is in the best interest that this
Commission be dissolved and allow Keep Wichita Falls Beautiful to fulfill the same
mission as the Clean Community Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The Clean Community Commission be and is hereby dissolved.
SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 78-2000, Ordinance No. 68-99, and Ordinance
No. 92-84 be repealed in their entirety.
SECTION 3. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
