ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A FRANCHISE FOR SPECIAL S��,�3
VEHICLE TO DONALD MELTON DBA DONNIE'S LIMOS; FINDII.,� ,-,�.�
DETERMINING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City has received an application from Donald Melton DBA
Donnie's Limos for a special service franchise for limousine transportation within the city
limits of Wichita Falls; and
WHEREAS, the apptication submitted meets the requirements as set forth in
Chapter 110 of the Code of Ordinances regulating Vehicles for Hire-Limousine Service;
and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held to receive comments regarding the
granting of such franchise.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council finds and determines the applicant satisfies the
requirements of Chapter 110 of the Code of Ordinances and a public convenience and
necessity exists for the grant of this franchise.
SECTION 2. A franchise for a special service for limousine transportation within
the city limits of Wichita Falls is hereby authorized to Donald Melton DBA Donnie's
Limos as provided for in Chapter 110 of the Code of Ordinances.
SECTION 3. A total of two (2) limousine permits are authorized for said
franchise, which shall expire on October 21, 2013.
SECTION 4. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
