ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, ORDINANCE RENAMING LINWOOD AVENUE TO
LOUIS ESQUIBEL AVENUE; FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT THE
MEETING AT WHICH THIS ORDINANCE WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO
THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, a request has been submitted to the City Council to change the
name of Linwood Avenue to Louis Esquibel Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, in honoring the memory of Louis Esquibel and his
accomplishments, feels it in the public interest to rename Linwood Avenue to Louis
Esquibel Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Linwood Avenue (as shown on the attached map incorporated into
this ordinance as "Attachment A") is hereby renamed Louis Esquibel Avenue.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at
which this ordinance was passed was open to the public as required by law.
